2009-2010 K1 Program Overview

Passionate, Fit, Fast and Smart!

The K1 programs' primary goal is to improve the individual athletes fundamental skiing skills with a view on long-term development. The program will provide the necessary skills and opportunities for the athletes to be competitive on a local and provincial level. Nutrition, sport psychology, physiology, and training methodology will be introduced to begin the development of the “complete” athlete. Although this is still an entry-level development program more emphasis will begin to be placed on preparing the athlete for present and future competition.

Mission Statement:

We are committed to delivering a comprehensive athlete development program to our athletes so they can maximize their long term athletic potential and attain their individual goals. We will provide a strong team environment where our athletes are expected to strive for excellence both on and off the snow.

Holistic Athlete Development Approach:

We are a high performance ski club which implements a Holistic Athlete Development Approach - We strive to give our athletes detailed knowledge, training and real world experience in all aspects of ski racing.
